Device Assignments

The Device Assignments button opens a screen to identify the input devices authorized for use by employees in the organization unit. After a device is added, a description can be entered to identify the location of this device.

If the employee badges at an unauthorized device, an exception message prints during the calculations process.

To view a Device Assignment record, click the card arrow on the record.

Depending on the authorization role of the user, the following actions may be available:

Adding a Device Assignment

Deleting a Device Assignment

Filtering the Device Assignment List

Note: For more information on the fields available when adding or filtering devices, see the Configuration section>System card>Devices screen. For more information on setting up device assignments at the employee level, see the Employee section>Employee sections>Devices screen.

Description

The label describing this device assignment. This value can be either a Common or an Individual assignment code.

Action Buttons

The following action buttons may be available in the left pane for adding or deleting related records:

Add

Delete Selected

The following actions may display in the left pane when searching for a record:

Advanced/Basic

Assign: Common Data

Assign: Individual Data

Assign Selected

After records have been selected in the search, the following additional actions may be available in the left pane:
