Portal Configuration

The Portal Configuration screen allows system operators to configure servers, web farms, and hardware appliances. These settings are used with Notifications, to link back to the portal.

Record Management

Depending on the user's authorization level, the following actions may be available. Note: The options listed below are not available for some screens.

Searching for a Record

Depending on the page displayed, the following fields may be available. Click on the link to view a description of the fields.

Classification

Description

Uniform Resource Identifier

Name

Parent Classification

Classification

Indicates whether this host is a Web Server, a Web Farm, or Hardware Appliance.

Description

A label describing the host server.

Uniform Resource Identifier

The Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) for the Web server, Web farm, or Hardware appliance (for example, http://alpha/. . .).

Name

The short, alphanumeric name identifying the portal configuration record.

Parent Classification

Select a web farm or hardware application from the Field Look Up Values. When adding a record, this field is only enabled when the Classification is set to WebServer.
