Steps for Adding a Coverage Set

Complete the following steps to add a new Coverage Set:

  1. From the Configuration section>System card>select the Coverage Set screen.
  2. Click on the Add button to open the screen to configure a new record.
  3. Enter the Code to identify this coverage set.
  4. Enter the Description to describe the code and the Post Time to indicate when the posted day begins for this coverage set.
  5. If the coverage set is to be immediately active, set the Active status to Yes; if it is to be activated at a later date, set the status to No.
  6. Click on the Save button to save the general screen.
  7. The Coverage Periods section button is now available in the left pane. Click on this button to open the screen to configure the coverage periods within the coverage set.
  8. Click on the Add Coverage Period action button in the left pane.
  9. Enter the Code to identify the first coverage period (for example, Day).
  10. Enter the Description to describe the code (for example, Day Shift).
  11. Enter the Start Time when this coverage period is to begin, either in 24-hour format (15:00 for 3:00 pm) or with the letter "p" after the time to indicate afternoon times (for example 0300p for 3:00 pm).
  12. Enter the Length of the coverage period in whole and decimal hours.
  13. Click on Save to save the coverage period record.
  14. Repeat steps 8-13, until all coverage periods for the coverage set are created.
