Assign the Report to a Class
If a course contains assigned reports, when a new related class is created, the reports default when a new class is created. If no reports are assigned to the course, no reports default at the time of class creation. Either way, the reports on the Class screen may be modified, added and deleted without affecting the course or other class records. Each class may be set up differently than the rest.
The steps to assign a report to an individual class are essentially the same as those to assign reports to a course. The only difference is that the Report Group field needs to contain a value before the Reports button becomes enabled for reports to be assigned.
To assign a report to a Class, complete the following steps:
- Go to the Configuration section>Education Tracking card>Class screen.
- Use the Search features to locate a class.
- On the General screen, the Education Report Group Code needs to be filled in before any reports can be assigned.
Assigns this class to a specific report group for printing reports.
- Click the Save button if any changes were made to the Class – General section.
- Click the Reports button to assign reports to the class.
- In the Actions Section of the left pane, click the Add button.
- Choose your Print Classification.
Determines how the system counts the number of copies of reports that need to be printed. Valid options from the pull down menu include: One Copy per Class, One Copy per Instructor, One Copy per Classroom, One Copy per Attendee, and One Copy per Resource.

- The list of reports that shows in the right pane is determined by the Print Classification chosen in #7 above.
- If no print classification is chosen, no reports are displayed in the right pane list.
- If a print classification is chosen, only those compatible with that classification are available for assignment.
- If the print classification is changed after a report is assigned, the system does not allow the user to save the record if the two do not correlate.
- Set the Relative Day value (Required for Auto-generation of the report but not required by the screen). The relative day is added to the date of the class to determine the print date assigned to each report.
Indicates when the reports should be created, based on the number of days before or after the scheduled class date.
- A negative number indicates the number of days BEFORE the class that these reports should be generated.
- A positive number indicates the number of days AFTER the class these reports should be generated.
- A zero indicates the reports should be generated ON the day of the class.
- If no value is entered, the report is matched up with a class, but it is not auto-generated.
- If a value is entered, the following rules apply:
- If 0 is entered, the report is scheduled to print the day of the class.
- If a negative number if entered, the report is scheduled to print X days before the class date.
- If a positive number is entered, the report is scheduled to print X days after the class date.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to save the course-report assignment.
Education Report Group Code
Assigns this class to a specific report group for printing reports.
Print Classification

Relative Day
Indicates when the reports should be created, based on the number of days before or after the scheduled class date.
- A negative number indicates the number of days BEFORE the class that these reports should be generated.
- A positive number indicates the number of days AFTER the class these reports should be generated.
- A zero indicates the reports should be generated ON the day of the class.
