General Tab

The General tab opens a screen to search for an employee based on demographic information.

Depending on the page displayed, the following fields may be available. Click on the link to navigate to the description.

Badge Library Code

The code identifying the access badge library of the employee badge.

Badge Number

The identification number of the employee badge. Note: If the number entered is less than 10 digits in length, the system automatically adds leading zeros to make the number 10 digits. For example, if the number 4598 is entered, the system converts this to 0000004598.

Code

The unique identification code for the employee.

Note: This code is the key to linking the employee information in this application with the employee record in a third-party human resources software.

Directory Service Name

The Directory Service value assigned to this employee, if applicable, which allows the employee to log into the application using network login information.

Employee Status

The employment status of the employee (e.g. Active, Inactive, Terminated, etc.).

Note: These values are previously set up on the Configuration section> Employee card> Employee Status screen.

First Name

The first name of the employee.

Hire Date

The date the employee was hired.

Last Name

The last name of the employee.

Legal Name

The legal name of the employee, if different from the values entered in the First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name fields.

Login Name

The login name of a user, which must be entered to access the system.

Login Number

The numeric value set up for the employee to access non-portal input devices, such as TimeCall.

Middle Name

The middle name (or middle initial) of the employee.

Preferred Name

The nickname the employee prefers to be called. The name entered here is the name that displays on the Welcome message on the Home Page.

Show Terminated Employees

Indicates whether to include terminated employees in the search results (Yes/No).

Termination Date

The date the employee's employment was terminated, if applicable.

More About Date Value Fields

Title

The employment title of this employee, for example, Registered Nurse.
