Messages

The Messages section button opens a screen to view the messages that are displayed when an employee unsuccessfully attempts to log into the system. The message can be viewed at the top of the screen, and it can include information as to why the attempt was unsuccessful (for example, "The user does not exist in the system, or the password is invalid"). These messages are also visible in the employee record in the Authentication History.

The standard Default Description message displays unless a custom description is entered into the Description field.

Classification

The type of classification of this error message. (i.e. UserNotFoundInSystem, PasswordChangeIsRequired, etc.)

Default Description

The standard message that is displayed if the employee login generates the classification error. If a custom message is set up in the description field, that message is displayed instead.

Description

A customized message that is displayed when an employee attempts to login. If this field is left blank, the Default Description is displayed.

Opens a network path to access documentation for help with solutions or instructions on the handling of this authentication message.
