Active

Indicates whether the profile is currently used by the system and can be assigned (Yes/No).

Profiles that are no longer valid but have been previously assigned cannot be deleted from the system. This is to maintain historical integrity of data. A profile code can be deactivated by setting this value to No, so it can no longer be assigned.

Code

The alphanumeric short name or abbreviation identifying the profile.

Description

The label describing the profile code.

Organization Unit

Select the appropriate code for this field. The number of organization unit levels available and the organization unit names displayed depend upon the corporate structure.

Profile Group

Select the appropriate group. Used to combine profiles on the Current Staffing Overview screen.

Profile Groups allow administrators to combine profiles into groups for quick evaluation on the Current Staffing Overview screen.

For example, the following image shows two individual profiles (Clin Dir and RN-ICU) and details of the needs. These profiles are combined into an RN profile group with summary information.
