Steps for Copying Profiles to Another Organization Unit

Profiles can be copied from one organization unit to another. The settings on all the sections and tabs of the original profiles will be copied to the new profiles. If desired, the Code, Description, and Profile Group are modified within the wizard. Any other attributes can be modified later by opening up the new profiles.

Steps to copy profiles to a different organization unit:

  1. From the Configuration section > Labor Distribution card, open the Profile screen.
  2. Search for profiles in the source organization unit.
  3. Select each profile that is to be copied.

Or select the box in the header row to select all the profiles.

  4. In the Actions area, click Copy.
  5. On the next screen, select the New Organization Unit Destination option.
  6. Enter the organization unit these profiles should be copied to (the destination organization unit).
  7. In the Actions area, click Next.

A list of the profiles being copied appears.

  8. If needed, update the Code, Description, and Profile Group fields, and then click Next.

The profiles appear with available positions.

  9. Select the positions to associate with each of the new profiles and then click Next.
  10. On the screens that follow, select the licenses, stations, and activities to associate with each of the new profiles, clicking Next on each screen.

After the activities screen, a summary appears.

  11. In the Actions area, click Finish.

The profiles are now copied to the new organization unit.
