Enable Preferences
Open shift notifications can be sent to qualified employees by text message, email, and an Interactive Voice Response system. These notification methods must first be enabled and then selected by each participating employee.
Enable notification methods
To enable the notification methods used by your organization, complete the following steps.
- Navigate to Preferences section > System Preferences card > Open Shift Notifications screen.
- Select the notification methods that your organization will use.
- Click Save.
Select employee notification preferences
The following steps need to be done by each participating employee. The notification methods available to them were determined in the previous set of steps.
- Navigate to Preferences section > My Preferences card > Open Shift Notifications screen.
- Select the notification methods that you would like to use.
- As needed, enter phone numbers or an email address in the appropriate fields.
- Text Message - The system sends a text message to your mobile phone number with details about the shift and a number to reply to.
Enter your mobile phone number in the Text Message Number field.
- Email - The system sends an email to your account with details about the shift.
Enter your email address in the Address field.
- Interactive Voice Response (IVR) - The system calls your phone number and gives you details about the shift.
Enter any phone number in the IVR Number field.
- Click Save.
