Organization Unit - Indicators and Parameters
The Organization Unit card contains indicator and parameter settings for the self-scheduling feature. Depending on the corporate structure, these settings may be determined at any structure level.
Hint: When these values are set at a higher structure level, less set up is required. For example, if a value is set at level 2, all the structure levels below that inherit the same settings. The settings can be changed at any organization unit, which affects that organization unit and the structure levels below it.
For example, if one of the organization units at structure level 3 changes a setting, it affects that level 3 record and the children for that organization unit at levels 4, 5, 6, etc. All other organization units at levels 3 and below still inherit the parent settings. At some level, however, the indicator value must be set to an option other than 'P'.
- From the Configuration section> Organization Unit card> Organization Unit screen, open the organization record to be set up.
- Click the Indicators tab, then the Category - Self Scheduling card.
- Highlight the field to display the indicator setting options in the right pane.
- Set the indicator values and save the record.
- Open the Staffing and Scheduling card.
- Set the following indicator values.
Organization Unit Indicator SS Solution Standard 7
Organization Unit Indicator SS Solution Standard 10

Organization Unit Indicator SS Solution Standard 12
- Click the Parameters tab, then open the Self Scheduling card.
- Set Organization Unit Parameter Self Scheduling Standard Integer 1 to determine the number of days in advance of the current date that the employee can view the Self Scheduling screen.
Organization Unit Parameter Self Scheduling Standard Integer 1 determines the number of days in advance of the current date that employees are able to view information in the Self Scheduling screen. If the resulting date falls within a scheduling period, the employee is able to view the entire scheduling period.
If no value is entered for a specific organization unit, the system looks up to the parent organization unit levels.
