Selecting Employee LaborView Options

Users can select the Employee LaborView options to display on the drop down menu, the order the options display, and the default LaborView option.

  1. From the Preferences section>My Preferences card, open the Employee LaborView screen.
  2. A listing of the existing Employee LaborView options is displayed.
  3. Select the LaborView options to be included in the drop down menu by checking the box to the left of the selected options.
  4. Click on the Toggle Visibility button in the left pane to change the visibility status. The selected LaborView options now display a check mark in the Visible column.

    Note: To remove an option from the visible listing, check the box to the left of the record and click on the Toggle Visibility button again.

  5. The Sort Order boxes are now displayed. Change the numbers in the boxes to indicate the order the LaborView options should display in the drop down menu in the Actions section>Approval card>Employee LaborView screen.
  6. To select the LaborView that should automatically display when the Employee LaborView screen is opened, check the box to the left of the LaborView and click on the Set Default button in the left pane.
  7. The default LaborView displays a check mark in the Default column.

The following fields are displayed in the Employee LaborView grid:

A folder is displayed in this field if the LaborView is a custom record.

  • The user who created the record can open and edit the record by clicking on the folder.
  • Custom LaborView records created by another user show a folder and are read only. Other users can open and view the record, but cannot edit it.

The check box is used to select a record to apply one of the Action buttons to it. For example, to set a view as a default, check the box and click on the Set Default action button.

Default

A check mark in this field indicates which LaborView has been selected as the default LaborView displayed in the Choose a LaborView drop down menu.

To change the default, check the box to the left of the selected record and click on the Set Default button in the left pane.

Folder

A folder is displayed in this field if the LaborView is a custom record. The user who created the record can open and edit the record by clicking on the folder.

Custom LaborView records created by another user show a folder and are read only. Other users can open and view the record, but cannot edit it.

Name

The name of the user who created the LaborView. Standard records display "Administrator Account" in this field.

Published

A check mark in this field indicates whether the LaborView record has been published. When users create a new record, they have the option to share this record with other users by checking the box to the left of the record and clicking on the Publish button.

If the record is not published, there is no check mark in this field.

Sort Order

To change the order of display for the LaborView list, select the appropriate number in the Sort Order box for each LaborView. Records with a higher sort order value will be automatically adjusted to display in the next available sort order.

To save the sort order changes, click on the Set Sort Order button in the Actions section.

Visible

A check mark in this field indicates which LaborView options have been selected by the user to display in the Choose a LaborView drop down menu. To change this setting, check the box to the right of the records and click on the Toggle Visibility button.

Created By

The name of the user who created the LaborView. This value is automatically entered by the system when the LaborView record is saved.
