When using the Request to Work feature, there are several screens that need to be set up. Some of this information may already be completed, if it is used with other features in the system.

Authorization roles can be created to customize the feature access for employees. These can be replicated and modified from Standard roles, or newly created. |

Roles can be assigned at the organization unit level to grant access to the Request to Work feature to all Primary Home employees. |

Organization Unit - Indicators |
An indicator setting in the organization unit screen determines whether employees can search for schedule openings where they have the required licenses or job class. For example, a registered nurse can search for any schedule openings based on the "RN" job class or "RN" license, even if he/she does not have a position in the organization unit with the opening. |
Individual employees can be granted access to requests to work, if the organization unit roles do not include it. Also, an employee can be denied access to this feature through this screen to override access given through an inherited organization unit role. |

The labor distributions assigned to the employee determine the position permissions available for the employee to access available schedules. |

The profiles that are authorized to be returned in the listing of available schedules are determined by a setting on the Indicators tab. |

If a profile has activity codes specified, the activity code can be authorized for the request to work feature in this screen. |

The rules used when validating scheduling rules when requests to work are submitted or approved are set up on this screen. |

The available date range for submitting requests to work are established on this screen. |

The cards to select the notifications of the status of employee requests to work are set up in this screen. |

The option to display the My Requests to Work card on the Home page is selected on this screen. This allows employees to monitor the status of their requests on the Home page. |

The option to display the Requests card on the employee TCS screen, is selected on this screen. This allows employees to monitor the status of their requests on the TCS screen. |
