The File Layout screen displays a list of the selected groups and the number of occurrences for each group. This screen is also used to order the groups in the download specification. The order of the fields can be modified by changing the numbers in the Sort Order field.
Terminology Note: Field Groups are predefined Groups of fields that are listed together for processing purposes. Sometimes all fields in the Group are required, other times only some of the fields are required to be included when the group is included in the download. When changing the order of the download configuration, the entire group is moved, however a field can be ordered within the group.
Terminology Note: Fields are individual fields that do not belong to any specific group. Certain Groups/Fields are always required depending on the Download Type selected above. These Groups/Fields are shown in the Selected Fields/Records section by default. (Example - for an employee download - the Employee First and Last Name are Required).
Sort Order
Defines the order the fields are listed in the download. To change the sort order, select a record to be adjusted and enter the appropriate number in the Sort Order box record. Records with a larger sort order value will be automatically adjusted to display in the next available sort order.
