The Salutation welcomes the current user to the application. The message bids the user Good Morning, Good Afternoon, or Good Evening depending on the time of day. In addition, the message wishes the user Happy Birthday on his or her birthday (if the birth date is stored in the employee record) and Happy Anniversary on the employee's employment anniversary.
The name that appears after the salutation defaults to the first name in the employee record. This field can be updated by the user to display the user's preferred name.
For example the user can update the name of the original salutation of Good Morning, William to display instead as Good Morning, Bill.
This field is found under the Employee section>Employee General screen>
Preferred Name.
