General

The General screen automatically displays when adding or viewing a record, and shows basic information on the record. When this screen is completed and saved, additional screens are available, depending on the Type of Selection Style being created.

To view edits made to this record, click on the Audits tab.

Depending on the page displayed, the following fields may be available. Click on the link to navigate to the description.

Code

The short alphanumeric name or abbreviation identifying the selection style record.

Description

The label describing the selection style record.

Selection

The type of processing being validated during this pass with the rules selected. The Selections available in the Field Look Up Values are determined by the selection style Type chosen in the set up screen.

Type

Indicates the type of selection style being created or viewed (i.e. Auto Schedule, Edit Validation, etc).

The following Type options are available:

  • Auto Schedule

Determines the rules validated when running the automatic scheduling process.

  • Edit Validation

Determines the rules validated when an employee activity is manually added to the schedule, such as from self scheduling or shift trading and offering.

  • Scheduling Assistant Call In

Determines the rules validated when searching for a qualified employee to fill a schedule opening.

  • Scheduling Assistant Call Off

Determines the rules validated when searching for a scheduled employee to remove from the schedule.

  • Schedule Period Validation

Determines the rules validated when using Minimum Staffing. For more information, see the Minimum Staffing User Guide in the Feature Set Up Instructions section.
