Time Card Screen
The Time Card Screen (TCS) can be set up to display selected information cards. The cards selected in the System Preferences are the default display for all users. Individual users can customize the display through the Time Card Screen option in the My Preferences section.
The Time Card Screen can consist of up to three panes:
- The Upper Area is the main, full size pane and displays selected information cards. Transactions automatically display in this pane. Additional cards can be added.
- The two Lower Areas (left and right) are half the size of the upper pane. It is recommended these half-size panes are used for the information cards that contain fewer details.
- When the Transaction Grid view is selected, that is the only card that can be displayed in a pane. This card displays a lot of information and should be selected for a full pane (either the upper area or the entire lower area).
- If no cards are assigned to either of these lower areas, the panes will not display.
- If cards are assigned to only one area, that pane will display in the entire lower area, using the unassigned pane's space.
Click the card arrow on a card to open and display the records on the card. Some cards contain Categories to break down the information. For example, on the Benefit Balances card, there are separate Categories for each benefit code containing data for the employee.
To set the user preferences for selecting and displaying cards, complete the following steps:
- Open the Preferences section>My Preferences card>Time Card Screen.
- From the left pane, select whether to display the Transaction Grid or the Transaction List view. If the Transaction Grid is selected, this is the only option that can be displayed in the pane.
- Point to an information card option from the Unassigned Sections column.
- Drag the card to the Upper Area, Lower Left Area or the Lower Right Area column.
- Cards may be moved around within the panes according to the order in which they should display. The red arrows indicate the placement of the cards. Note: If using the Transaction Grid rather than the Transaction List, no other cards can be assigned to the Upper Area.
- Click the Save button before exiting.
