Note: The Schedule Period Validation process runs immediately when you click the icon. This can cause a temporary slow down of the system due to an increased use of system resources. You may want to do this during a time of lower system usage.
Schedule validation (and any resulting exceptions) occurs automatically when you add and edit employee schedules. However, with Schedule Period Validation, you can run the process manually to validate all employees' schedules and create exceptions for the current schedule period. You may want to do this, for example, after updating a scheduling rule, such as Minimum Weekends, to force a re-validation of schedules.
