Request to Work Tab (StaffConfigurationEdit)

The Request to Work tab is used to set the values that determine the time frame of the "Request to Work Period" when Home employees are able to search for and select open schedules. The selection style used for validating scheduling rules when an employee adds a new request to work and when a supervisor approves the request is determined on this screen as well.

Request to Work Begin Days

The minimum number of advance days required when searching for available schedules and submitting a request to work. This value is added to the CURRENT DATE. If this value is set to 0, employees can submit requests to work on the current date.

This value is added to the current date to determine the Request to Work Minimum Date. The Request To Work Period is defined as all days on or after the Request to Work Minimum Date and on or before the Request to Work Maximum Date.

Note: When this field contains a value, the Request to Work End Days field becomes enabled.

Request to Work End Days

The maximum number of days after the CURRENT DATE that the employee can submit a request to work.

This value is added to the current day to determine the Request to Work Maximum Date. The Request To Work Period is defined as all days on or after the Request to Work Minimum Date and on or before the Request to Work Maximum Date.

Note: This field is required when the Request To Work Begin Days field contains a value. When the Request To Work Begin Days does not contain a value, this field is not enabled.

Request to Work Selection Styles

Determines the selection style to be used when validating whether an employee is allowed to work requested schedules.

For example, the selection style may validate that adding the new schedule will not cause the employee to go into overtime, will maintain a minimum rest interval, etc. The rules included in each selection style are previously set up on the Selection Styles configuration screen with the Type of Edit Validation.

Request to Work Qualification Level

Profile qualifications allow you to define levels of requirements that an employee must meet when requesting a shift.Profile qualifications are set on the Profile Qualification screen: Configuration section > Scheduling card > Profile Qualification screen.
