Schedule Incentive Tab

Staffing Configurations need to be set up for Schedule Incentive and are used to designate items such as whether bids are in dollars or percentages and how long Schedule Incentive is open.

Flat Dollar

Select Yes if this organization unit is to use the Flat Dollar method of Schedule Incentive.

You can select both Flat Dollar and Percentage methods. When setting up the shift for incentive, the manager or scheduler can select either method at that time.

Percentage

Select Yes if this organization unit is to use the Percentage method of Schedule Incentive.

You can select both Flat Dollar and Percentage methods. When setting up the shift for incentive, the manager or scheduler can select either method at that time.

Schedule Incentive Selection Style

If you have not already, you may need to set up a Selection Style specifically for Schedule Incentive; or you may choose an existing Selection Style, such as the one used for self scheduling.

Default Open Time

Default Days Before Create

Schedule Incentive Minimum Dollar Increment

If using the Flat Dollar method, set the value to the minimum dollar increment that an employee must bid through Schedule Incentive.

Default Lunch Length

When using the Percentage method, this value is used when the scheduler is creating the Schedule Incentive offer. When using the Flat Dollar method, the lunch length attached to the Activity Code is used.

Organization Unit Levels 1 - 9 Days Before

Enter the number of days before the shift that the shift becomes available to employees in other organization units to start bidding through Schedule Incentive.

Organization Unit Levels 1 - 9 Open Time

Enter the time of day that the shift becomes available to employees in other organization units to start bidding through Schedule Incentive.

By opening the Schedule Incentive process to other organization units, employees can bid on shifts that were not bid on by employees in the original organization unit or shifts with bids that have not yet been approved.

Example: The Schedule Incentive offer is set up and is available for a department 30 days in advance of the shift. However, if no one bids on the shift or a bid has not yet been approved, the next organization unit level up (for example, facility) can get the opportunity to bid on the shift. You might set up the facility to be able to bid 5 days in advance of the shift. So in this example, the first 25 days are open to the department and the final 5 days are open to the department and the facility.
