Productivity (Hours Summary) by Job Class

This report gathers data only from the Live database. To view data from both the Live and Historical databases, see the Historical version of this report, found under the Historical heading in this report catalog.

This report gives a summary of hours worked and/or scheduled for each Job Class within the selected Organization Unit for a specified date range. The report includes all organization units that contain either schedule records or actual clocking records that are included in the selected organization unit level or schedule group.

The report includes a breakout of actual and scheduled hours and costs associated with Productive time, Overtime, Internal Agency, External Agency, Float time, Indirect Patient Care, and Non-Productive time for each job class by coverage period.

Report parameters include the following options:

• Organization unit or schedule group to be included in the report (select the related option button and enter either the organization unit or schedule group).
• Whether to create this report using the default coverage set (by leaving this field blank) or a different coverage set selected from the right pane.
• Whether to include all coverage periods in the coverage set (by leaving this field blank) or a single coverage period selected from the right pane.
• The start and end dates of the range to be included in the report.
• Whether to display scheduled records (yes/no).
• Whether to display hours or dollars or both.
• Whether to display external agency, internal agency and/or float information (Yes/No for each).

  At the branch level, Organization Unit Indicator SS Solution Standard 4 is used to determine if the organization unit is considered an internal agency, an external agency, or neither. Float hours are calculated when employees work in an organization unit other than their Home organization unit.

• The type of HPPD (hours per patient day) Calculation to use.
  • Productive Direct: Actual Total Productive = Productive hours + Overtime hours (includes In Agency, External Agency, and Float hours)
  • Productive Direct & Indirect: Actual Total Productive = Productive hours + Overtime hours (includes In Agency, External Agency, and Float hours) + Indirect Patient Care hours + Indirect Patient Care Hours Overtime hours
  • Indirect: Actual Total Productive = Indirect Patient Care hours + Indirect Patient Care Hours Overtime hours
