Attendance Card
The Attendance+ module is an expanded capability within Time and Attendance. Attendance occurrences may be automatically determined by the calculations process, or they may be manually assigned by authorized users. Attendance occurrences are given a point value. For example, an excused absence may be given one point value and an unexcused absence may be given a three point value. When an employee accumulates a certain number of points within a monitored time frame, the employee reaches a severity level, which may require disciplinary action.
- Administers attendance policies by effectively tracking absences and tardy occurrences
- Benchmarks attendance occurrences to help ensure the appropriate action is taken
- Automatically notifies supervisors using exception messages and optionally require action
- Maintains a record of all attendance occurrences
- Provides detailed reporting
How Does it Work
A typical pay period where attendance activity is monitored consists of the following:
- For systems without designated start times, populate employee calendar files with Schedule to Work Information. The population of the calendar file may be completed by an update from Staffing and Scheduling, through a 3rd party Nurse Staffer interface, through Rotating Work Calendars, or by adding the schedule information to the employee files manually.
- Employee clocking information is collected from the various input devices.
- Employee information is processed.
- The Calculation process generates exception messages for employees with violations to their work schedule as defined in the Attendance+ Rules and Parameters Specifications.
- Supervisors review the information in the Employee LaborView and update the employee's Calendar and Clocking information with the appropriate corrections.
- Supervisors may also update employee information to excuse the employee for the tardy or absence.
- Modifications to employee calendar and clocking information are processed.
- Supervisors review the employee information with the adjustments. The supervisor may then approve or further update the employee information.
