Viewing and/or Handling a Trade Request

After entering the search criteria, all applicable records are displayed:

The icons under the Classification column indicate the type of request. Hover the cursor over the icon to view the description of the icon.

Accepted Offer

You have accepted a schedule that was offered by another employee.

Trade

You are trading schedules with another employee.

Offer

You have offered a schedule

The icons under the Status column indicate the status of the trade request. Hover the cursor over the icon to view the description of the icon.

Approved

The request is approved by the supervisor, and is added to the employee schedule.

Canceled

The request has been canceled by either the supervisor or the employee. The traded schedules revert back to the originally scheduled employee.

Denied

The request is not allowed by the supervisor.

Requested

The request has been submitted and is pending approval or denial from the supervisor.

Click on the folder to the left of the record to open and view the details of the request. Information regarding the requesting and accepting employees and their schedules are displayed.

The following Action buttons are available in the left pane:

Approve

Click on this button to authorize the trading of these schedules. Both employees are notified on their Home Page that the trade has been approved. The traded schedules codes are given a Published status on the schedule screen.

Deny

Click on this button to deny the trading of these schedules. Both employees are notified on their Home Page that the trade has been denied. The employees' original schedules are assigned back to them on the schedule screen.

Note: Indicator settings determine whether reviewers are required to enter a comment when a trade request is approved and/or denied.
