Assign an Indicator as an Assignment Criterion
When pay policy eligibility is based on employee, job class, organization unit, or position, assigning these values individually as assignment code criteria can be time consuming. An easier method is to base eligibility on a single indicator value, and then configure the eligible employees, job classes, organization units, or positions to have that indicator value. You can even create a custom indicator to use for defining eligibility.
To assign an indicator as an assignment criterion, complete the following steps:
- Navigate to the Configuration > Assignments card > Assignment Source screen, and search for the record to update.
- From the Assignment Source Sections, click Assignment Determination.
- Drag the appropriate value (for example, Employee Indicator) from the Available Criteria Items list to the Assigned Criteria Items list, and click Save.
- Navigate to the Configuration > Assignments card > Assignment Code screen, and search for the record to update.
- From the Assignment Code Sections, click Criteria.
- From the Assignment Criteria Actions, click Add.
- For the desired indicator criterion, click the ... button.
- Search for the indicator that determines eligibility for the assignment, and click the folder icon next to it.
A list of valid values for the indicator appears.
- Click the folder icon next to the indicator value that is eligible for the assignment.
The indicator value appears in the criterion field.
- Click Save.
