Set the Activity Code Indicators
The following activity code indicators need to be set appropriately.
- Self Scheduling Standard 1: Determines whether activity is available for self scheduling
This indicator determines whether an activity code is available to employees for self scheduling and, if it is available, how the activity appears.
Adding activity codes directly to profiles also makes the activities available for self scheduling. Navigate to the appropriate profile. Click the Activities button and then the Add button. In the Self Schedule field, select Yes and then click the Save button.
- SS Solution Standard 2: Determines whether activity counts toward coverage totals
For activity codes to appear on the Activity Balancing Grid on the Schedule screen with calculated needs, this indicator must be set to Y.
If an activity code is set to N, there will be no needs established for the activity and it will not initially appear on the Activity Balancing Grid. However, if the activity gets scheduled, it will appear on the Activity Balancing Grid with no associated need and will therefore appear as an overstaffing situation. For more information, see the About the Schedule Screen section
